The Holiday Which? Guide to Italy:
"Almost audible tranquillity is
the reward for those who choose to stay in the Aventine, a smart
residential area of detached villas where the air is heavy with
the scentof oleander. The most attractive of the handful of hotels
in the area, hte Sant'Anselmo feels more like a private house than
a hotel. Inside all is light and elegant with cool marble floors
and summery colours. The bright little breakfast room/bar opens
out onto a charming terrace, and below it a little garden with a
rose pergola and funtains. Bedrooms range from light attic rooms
with nursery type white furniture and accents of primary colours
to high-celinged, more traditionally furnished rooms with embroidered
bedcovers and prettily painted doors. All have pristine bathrooms.
There's a trattoria and a bus stop close by, but you could feel
stranded without a car".

WEEK END VIAGGI:
"C'è ancora qualche pièce
per i Mondiali nel delizioso albergo Sant'Anselmo, una palazina
primi Novecento immersa nel verde dell'Aventino" |
THE NEW YORK TIMES:
"Although they are not the bergains
they once were, Rome's small, mid level hotels can offer charm,
comfort and convenience at acceptable price..."
L'ESPRESSO:
"Ecco un indirizzo che si esita
a pubblicare; si teme che la notorietà eccessiva possa stravolgere
e sbilanciare il tono di un albergo che ha raggiunto un equilibrio
perfetto..."
GLOBO:
"Ein stilles und stilvolles Hotel
mit kleinem Garten und schön restaurierten Zimmern. Sehr hübsch
sind die Zimmern 238 und 239 mit (gemeinsamer) Süd-west-Terrasse
im dritten Stock.
Ab 200 Mrk; es gibt auch günstige Wochenendpauschalen." |
